Center for Healthy Aging offers free medication review with pharmacist
SOUTHINGTON – Understanding medications, their interactions and what they are for can be confusing. To unravel the mysteries, a geriatric pharmacist will be offering free confidential sessions courtesy of Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging. The pharmacist will be available at Hospital of Central Connecticut, Bradley Memorial campus, 81 Meriden Ave. on the following dates: Monday, Dec. 19, Thursday, Dec. 22, Friday, Dec. 23, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM; and Tuesday, Dec. 20, 8:30 AM to noon. Sessions will be held in Conference Room A located on the first floor near the Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging.
For the review, attendees should bring: all prescription medications, all over-the-counter medications; all herbal medications and vitamins; a list of all medication and food allergies; a list of medication concerns and questions; and a list of doctors and their phone numbers.
Appointments are not necessary.
