Hartford HealthCare Senior Services seeks applicants for grant-funded Certified Nursing Assistant program

Hartford HealthCare Senior Services is accepting applications for a grant-funded six-week program for those seeking a career as a certified nursing assistant. This session is set to begin in April. The grant funds cover tuition, books, scrubs, testing and the Connecticut Certified Nurses Aide Exam. Deadline to apply for this session is February 28.

The free program is the perfect opportunity for those seeking to start a career in healthcare or change careers. Applicants must be 18 or older to apply and must have their own transportation. Classroom education and labs are held in Southington and clinical training is held in Newington and Southington.

Acceptance into the program will be contingent upon a background check, fingerprinting, physical, reference check and the application.

Grant funding was provided by Jefferson House in Newington, a department of Hartford Hospital, offering short-term/outpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing and palliative care.
