Maley Hunt

Maley Hunt, Director of Operations


Maley W. Hunt, MHA, LNHA, is the director of operations at Cedar Mountain Commons. Hunt was previously an operations analyst with Hartford HealthCare Senior Services, which manages Cedar Mountain Commons. She also held positions at a health and wellness center and The National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care in Washington, D.C. She holds a Master’s of Health Administration with a certificate in Long-Term Care from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. She is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives and has presented at national conferences for the American College of Health Care Administrators. “Each day it is a privilege to find new ways to improve upon the rich tradition of excellence at Cedar Mountain Commons.”

Marie Pugliese, Retirement Counselor

Marie Pugliese, Retirement Counselor


Marie Pugliese, who holds 30-plus years of customer assistance experience, shares her warmth and sincerity in welcoming and acclimating new residents to Cedar Mountain Commons. Her background in assisted living, retirement services, college admissions and marketing gives her multi-faceted expertise in assessing the needs and building relationships with individuals and families. Her attention to detail ensures that residents receive the appropriate services to ensure that they can maintain the highest level of independence in their new community.


Lou Roca, Director of Dining Services and Executive Chef


Lou Roca has worked in food service for more than 30 years, priding himself on creating memorable culinary experiences with his dining services team. He strives to build strong relationships with residents and staff, increasing satisfaction and results by listening to people and meeting their needs and wants. An accomplished professional, Roca recently received the Clarence J. Silvia Legacy Award – Leadership Behaviors in Action. Debra Labbe, Activity Director

Debra Labbe, Activity Director


Debbie Labbe has more than 25 years of experience developing and managing various educational and recreational projects in the healthcare industry. Debbie’s strong communication skills, flair for creativity and ability to be an involved participant in the residents’ lives has earned her recognition from the Connecticut Assisted Living Association, which acknowledged her Great Artists program with a Managed Residential Services Award. In 2014, Debbie received a Clarence J. Silvia Leadership Award for her exemplary dedication to Cedar Mountain Commons and its residents.

Diovadis Perez, Director of Plant Services

Diovadis Perez, Director of Plant Services


A true team player and former Jefferson House Employee of the Year, Diovadis Perez is responsible for the grounds and building maintenance of Cedar Mountain Commons. With more than 20 years’ experience, Diovadis is known as the “Johnny on the spot.” He is dedicated to quality service and committed to providing a safe living and working environment for residents, their families, guests and staff.

Richard Martin

Richard Martin, Director of 

Environmental Services


Richard Martin holds more than 25 years’ experience in managing environmental services in health care settings. He oversees the needs of residents, staff and visitors at Jefferson House and Cedar Mountain Commons, ensuring that the living communities are safe, comfortable and senior-friendly. Since he came aboard, he has spearheaded multiple on-site improvement projects and serves on the safety committee. He holds multiple professional certifications in his field. Quyntin Adams, Exercise Physiologist GoodLife Fitness


Quyntin Adams’ goal is to enhance the physical wellness of our residents by helping them improve their posture, stability, balance and endurance. His experience is primarily in cardiac rehabilitation in a hospital setting. He achieved his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Central Connecticut State University. He holds certifications in basic and advanced life support and is a certified exercise physiologist. At GoodLife Fitness, Adams works one-on-one with each person to improve muscular strength, balance, cardiovascular health and self-esteem while reducing the risk of falls and increasing mobility.

Christine Sampson

Christine Sampson, RN, Wellness Director


Christine Sampson has extensive experience in skilled nursing, working with individuals with developmental disabilities and in assisted living, as the wellness director at another community in Connecticut. She holds a certification as a Dementia Practitioner where she acted as the staff educator for those who work with the cognitively impaired population. “Coming to Cedar Mountain Commons is like a breath of fresh air. Our residents come from all walks of life and as they share their life stories, it ignites a sense of pride and fulfillment. I am humbled to be part of their life journey.”
