Southington Care Center is a 130-bed facility specializing in short-term inpatient rehabilitation and rehab nursing care, long-term care and outpatient rehab services. Southington Care Center also offers a specialized program for dementia and memory-impaired residents. Our second floor garden room and therapeutic outdoor space brings the outside in, incorporating the benefits that the natural world brings to creating a comforting and nurturing environment.

Outpatient therapy specialty programs include Speech Therapy, Lymphedema Management, Orthopedic, Neurologic, Balance and Aquatics and Pre-surgical Therapeutic Exercises (Pre-hab). Wellness programs, such as GoodLife Fitness, are offered to inpatients as well as to the community.

Staff is specially trained to provide services that enhance quality of life while promoting maximum well-being for residents and outpatients alike.

Southington Care Center features a state-of-the-art 8,300 square foot rehabilitation pavilion complete with aqua-therapy and an occupational therapy suite that replicates the home setting. This facility allows patients to receive rehab services in an environment that has been specially designed to meet the needs of an older population.

Southington Care Center is approved for Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance plans.

Aquatic Therapy
Aqua therapy, or water exercise, improves flexibility and range of motion and strengthens and tones muscles without hurting vulnerable joints.
Cardiac & Stroke Rehabilitation
We specialize in the care of patients with most forms of cardiac rehabilitation. We have a highly experienced clinical staff to assist in each patient’s care.
Long-Term Care
We pride ourselves in the ability to provide the finest staff of professionally trained therapists and nurses to support our residents throughout their long-term stay.
Lymphedema Management
Lymphedema Management is offered to treat individuals who have problems with lymphedema either from surgery or a malfunction in their lymph drainage system.
Outpatient Rehabilitation
The rehabilitation team is made up of professional therapists who specialize in adult rehabilitative therapy.
