Inspired by compassionate and tender care delivered by dedicated healthcare professionals, it is a philosophy and practice of providing holistic care which embraces the mind, body and spiritual needs of all involved in the last stages of life.
Tranquill Passages isn’t an ordinary program.
The last days, weeks, months or even hours of a precious life can be one of the most beautiful journeys shared by those who love each other.
The Program
Tranquill Passages began with a generous donation given in memory of Tranquill and Virginia Chiovoloni to support the growth of this holistic end of life care philosophy. Tranquill Passages philosophy of care for residents and families includes:

- Complementary therapies for caring presence, therapeutic touch, therapeutic massage, aromatherapy, yoga, t’ai chi, music and art therapy
- Tranquill Spaces include a spiritual retreat center and a family living room
- Easily accessible resource library with end-of-life materials

- Tranquill Passages cart with comfort items including grooming supplies, musical cassettes, CD and DVD players, blankets, pillow cases, scented lotions and more

Goals
It is the intention of Tranquill Passages to honor that process by providing an individualized setting in which a dying person and all loved ones involved can share each moment and live life to its fullest. Within an environment of support, compassion and respect, Tranquill Passages seeks to ease the passing of life for those experiencing the dying process and those who will be left behind.
